Description
here it is
my switch axe
40Lbs
8ft long
took a few months of wood shop at school
cost $45 for materials
I designed the workings and mechanisms of the movement
but the concept i found in Monster Hunter Tri
this isn't a game replica
this is a functional weapon realization
Okay I've had some questions of the workings of this so i'm gonna break it down step by step
from whichever position it is in:
1-grab the more rounded pin in the middle of the plate connected to the axe blade
2-pull the pin right out
-stick the pin in the dark hole above and to the left of the three holes
3- using that pin push the axe head forward on an angle
--4--now if it is a sword you have to flip the blade around to the back, this can be accomplished with an exaggerated flick of the wrists
5-after flicking the blade back slide the axe head up
--4--If it is an axe slide the axe head down, it runs on pins stuck into two channels on the center frame
5-now flick the sword blade forward
6- pull the axe head backward
7- remove the pin from the forward hole and reinsert into the original hole
This pin goes through most all of the layers and locks everything into place
you have now changed the sword/axe into an axe/sword
